SETTING UP A CONNECTION FROM
SCRATCH:

To manually set up your OneChoice
Internet Access Dial-Up Networking connection from scratch:
from the Desktop, double-click the My Computer icon.
From the My Computer window, double-click the Dial-Up
Networking icon.

The Dial-Up Networking window
appears. Double-click the New Connection icon.

The Welcome to Dial-Up
Networking windows appears. Click Next to
continue.

If this is the first time
you've used your modem, you will be asked for settings. Fill
these in as they pertain to you and your dial-up needs.

The Make New Connection
window appears. In the first box, enter the name of the
system you're dialing: OneChoice Internet Access . Make
sure your modem appears here.

Enter the OneChoice Internet
Access connection phone number. If you need to locate an
access number please call tech support at 1-800-589-5864. It is very important that you are certain your choice is a
LOCAL number: you are responsible for any long distance
charges that may appear on your phone bill. Click Next
to continue.

Congratulations; you've
completed manual setup. Click Finish to end.

DIALING UP AN EXISTING CONNECTION:

To connect to your OneChoice
Internet Access account through Dial-Up Networking: from the
Desktop, double-click the My Computer icon. From the
My Computer window, double-click the Dial-Up Networking
icon.

The Dial-Up Networking window
appears. Double-click the OneChoice Internet Access
icon.

The Connect to window appears.
Enter your user name (with @onechoice.net), password and phone
number then click Connect.

EDITING AN EXISTING CONNECTION:
To edit the configuration of an existing Dial-Up
Networking connection...

To edit the configuration of
an existing Dial-Up Networking connection: from the Desktop,
double-click the My Computer icon. From the My
Computer window, double-click the Dial-Up Networking
icon.

The Dial-Up Networking window
appears. Right-click the OneChoice Internet Access
icon and select Properties from the menu.

The settings window for your OneChoice Internet Access connection appears. You can make
needed changes to your settings here.

As an optional setting, it is recommended, from the Server Types tab, that you disable NetBEUI
and IPX/SPX Compatibility. This is done for
security and practicality (they're not used) reason.
